No. Zealous Health  CBD comes from hemp plants, not marijuana. Hemp and Marijuana are close relatives, but hemp contains higher levels of CBD and no more than 0.3% THC - the psychoactive compound that is found in higher concentrations in marijuana. 

While a drug test might not look for hemp-derived CBD oil, it can look for THC, which is present in all full-spectrum CBD products. The presence of THC in all full-spectrum CBD oils is enough to fail a drug test in some cases – even if only at 0.3% THC. However, failing a drug test is dependent on the quality of the hemp plant and the extraction method used. The biggest difference between CBD oils and tinctures is the production process and the base ingredient. CBD oils are produced by extracting the natural components of the hemp plant through a process called C02 extraction. After the desired compounds are extracted, they are mixed with a carrier oil. In contrast, CBD tinctures are alcohol-based extracts in which high-proof alcohol is used as a solvent to extract the natural components of the hemp plant. Both CBD tinctures and oils can be taken sublingually or added to food and drinks. The key concept with CBD dosage recommendations is that there is no one-size-fits-all. Because of our complex endocannabinoid system, two people can have different reactions to the same dosage. You should discuss your unique situation with your doctor. Once you are ready to determine the correct dosage, this is a typical strategy for getting it right. 

1.  Start with the lowest dose recommended. Be on alert for any allergic reaction. 
2. Double the starting dose after the first month. During this phase, it should become apparent whether CBD is helpful or not at the current dosage level.
3. If results still aren’t optimal, spread the dose through the day. 
4. If there are still no noticeable changes, slowly increase the dose until it’s working.
5. Throughout the process, keep a detailed journal of dosages and how they affect your body. As always, discuss results with your doctor.
